We’re taking on one of horror literature’s greatest and most classic novels of all time, discussing the nature of hauntings and the concept of home, and sharing this delectable and unusual recipe for chicken with plums, so give it a listen at: www.anchor.fm/cookingthebooks/episodes/The-Haunting-of-Hill-House-and-the-Spooky-Joys-of-Chicken-with-Plums-and-Radishes-em1dbo
Episode 11 of “Cooking The Books” Podcast Now Available!

…now, true I go in and out of presence, even in my over-bored present state… but upon clicking onto the podcast at google… the recording started at 12 min. instead of beginning at the beginning. Hmm. Anyway… happy turkey… (would have to read to get the deal… Elinor seems to be a bit contra-sensed. Absence…. accepted doesn’t lead to such as described, represented anyway. At most, in affect. The step aside to fronting of the characters within, the hidden from constructed reality of what they might be in part… seems less compelling than the explosive chicken recipe.) Time to check the oven….

Thank you for letting me know about the Podcast. I’ll check it on my end. Yes Eleanor is quite a self centered individual but that’s probably what makes her such a fascinating character study. And thank you for the compliment on the chicken. It’s definitely a favorite.

…it reminds a bit of north african pigeon recipes….

Well the recipe itself is Persian in origin, so likely there are similarities to the cuisine of North Africa. It’s really a lovely combination of flavors.
