That is so cool that you got to interview the author of the book! This dish looks delicious! Also, I recently read a book that I think you’d like (if you haven’t already read it!) It’s called The Last Chinese Chef and the way it describes the complexities of Chinese food is inspiring.

….hmmm. Recalls that subtle envy of Umbe’ towards Calvino, the later dived in, articulated and used concepts in his works that the former never could get his mind around, (relevant aspects of semiotics included.)

Interesting. I think of them both as superior intellects whose work complements the others. Symbols and semiotics are such complex concepts, yet I think they both bring them to life in such unique ways.
